TU-Delft: Architecture Faculty going up in Flames!
Shocking News arrived yesterday afternoon as Nimish Biloria, Kas Oosteruises Assistant at the Hyperbody Studio informed me that the Architecture Faculty Building of TU-Delft was going up in Flames! As I mentioned in my post before the iWeb pavilion is right next to it, and it was terrible news to hear that the eight story slab, where Nimish and myself were enjoying the sun last week in front of it, was burning away fast. I just hope that no one was hurt in the process, but the loss in general for the Architecture program of the TU-Delft must be immense! Everything is gone. The Building even partially collapsed in the process of burning as you can see clearly in the images. This incident though gives the Coop Himmel(b)lau quote "Architecture must Burn" a complete different taste. The bitter taste of loss...
